Local and Family Events

Each year, FunTimers® sponsors a variety of local family events. These events welcome FunTimers®, their guests, bank customers and members of our branch communities to join in the fun and share in these very special events. FunTimers Celebrate the 20th Ladies Luncheon and Style Show A tradition at First Federal! Our 20th Luncheon and Style Show was hosted on April 30, 2008 at Senica's Oak Ridge Golf Club in Lasalle. It was a wonderful affair and a lovely venue! Make plans with your lady friends to join us for a repeat performance at Oak Ridge in April, 2009. Our event begins with a wonderful sit-down luncheon, followed by our signature style show. Clothing retailers from our branch communities showcase spring and summer collections modeled by our own FunTimers. Several of our retailers also provide retail shopping tables during the event. Food, fashions and shopping – what a great way to spend a spring afternoon! If you have a ladies card club, book club, or Red Hat group, invite them to join us for this wonderful ladies day out! Ladies Luncheon And Style Show 2009 The 2009 Ladies Luncheon and Style Show will be held at the beautiful Senica's Oak Ridge Golf Course Clubhouse, LaSalle, IL. Guests are welcome; advance reservations required.
Second Annual
Rally for the Cure First Federal Savings Bank and FunTimers® recently sponsored our second annual Rally for the Cure golf outing to benefit breast cancer awareness.Senica’s Oak Ridge Golf Club in LaSalle was our host course for the day. Rally day weather was perfect for our 72 golfers to hit the links on behalf of breast cancer awareness. Prior to teeing off, our golfers enjoyed a light breakfast on the patio, with the opportunity to purchase Mulligans and 10' of pink ribbon to help improve their lie if needed. Each cart was stocked with goodie bags for each golfer, and along the course, at various holes, they could pick up complimentary iced water, fruit and other snacks. In addition, several 'games' were hosted on the course: Closest to the Pin, Think Pink on the Green, Longest Drive and Longest Putt. Teams were, of course, encouraged to wear pink to support the cause with our IV Cellular foursome winning the 'In the Pink' awars for best dressed team. We are pleased to say, in two years, we have contributed over $3,500 to the Susan G. Komen Foundation for breast cancer awareness. And we are already talking about Rally 2009! Save the date, Thursday, June 18, 2009, and join us for our third annual Rally for the Cure! After all, we're all in this together!
